On behalf of the six Nigerian children snatched by Haringey Council in April 2010, Maurice got himself arrested for ‘criminal charges’. He smashed a window, when he was unlawfully kept in a locked room. The Duty Solicitor said he was right.
For he wanted to expose the real criminals rather than allow them to continue their criminalisation of victims and even witnesses and supporters!
As a “chronic litigant” Maurice discovered the secrecy of family courts when he acted as McKenzie Friend for the Musa parents on two occasions.
Haringey Council were quick to issue an ‘order‘ preventing the Musas from communicating “directly or indirectly”with Maurice.
Tomorrow he will be in the Magistrates Court to defend himself. If you can be there in his support, please telephone:
Haringey Magistrates Court in Bishops Road, N6 4HS,
near Highgate tube.
A phone call to HIGHBURY Court (020 7506 3148) revealed that the CPS had a ‘hearing’ in Court 1 on 9th November and discontinued the case, because “they didn’t have enough evidence”. This was about “Criminal Damages”, i.e. smashing the window of the door where he was kept locked up.
Maurice has always been practising endurance in extreme circumstances: as a young athlete and traveller and later as a world solo pilot.
Now he writes from his prison cell:
Only audit trails of court written records, NHS full medical records, PNC (Police National Computer) and CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) written records disclosure will save me. Nothing new under the sun. They are all driven by greed.
The facts are rather disturbing – at least as worrying as what the Musas or Norman Scarth have to endure: Continue reading
This is the Defence Statement that Maurice put together in his prison cell – against all odds:
What are human rights for when they get ignored?
Human Rights activist Norman Scarth faxed an admirable document to the Prison Governor.
What are laws for when they are not being complied to?
It’s like patents: you buy yourself the right to defend yourself AFTER you’ve been cheated.
And thus Maurice is suffering refusals of normal requests on top of not being cared for his health problems. Details on his site.
This is Maurice’s hand written letter with his reasons for continuing his hunger strike.
He’s lost over 2 stone of weight already since imprisoned on Sept. 21st and needs an endoscopy for his bleeding ulcer badly!
Please send him a note of encouragement to Prisoner No. A7306AT HMP Cardiff, Knox Road, South Glamorgan CF24 0UG.
This is his letter to Alun Cairns MP with its transcript.
You can also sign the petition in his support or telephone the Prison Governor on 02920 923 327 or talk to the Chaplain as a messenger.
Here he is talking on video about his experiences in Tottenham Police Station.
Below about Litigants in Person – the thorn in the eye of the judiciary, as the lawyers want to benefit from the ‘gravy train’ of being funded by the public purse…
Despite his age of 66, Maurice is a “war horse”. Yesterday, he was faced with four allegations, one of which was dealt with in the Magistrates Court in Cardiff – as reported on his site.
At least he’s safe in prison, we hope and think…
Would you consider signing our petition on his behalf?
The Musa Drama has been publicised as the Worst Child Abuse in UK.
Maurice’s drama MUST be the worst of all police harassment experienced by a single individual:
I can only “grasp” Maurice (without gasping) by comparing him with Clint Eastwood. He just comes up with different “out of the box” ideas to tackle problems. And he thrives on adrenaline.
Thus he put himself out for the Musas yesterday in Kilburn High Road until a Police Officer helped in the negotiation between a law firm and their former clients.
Today he visited Tottenham Police Station with them. Gloria Musa now has an appointment on Monday, while he was called back to be interviewed. However, after he spoke to me for a long time, his phone was not answered when someone else called him…
The Police Officer on 020 8345 0830 said he’s being well looked after… Do you want to find out for yourself?
If she was innocent, why would she talk the way Maurice’s witness got her on tape? How come that she’s a Barnardo’s Ambassador?
How come that, three months after her taking the five children to the cinema, nine police officers come to the M’s house and remove them?
There is a full account in the comments to this post on Maurice’s site, together with pictures and a letter of recommendation by the Deputy High Commissioner of Sierra Leone – written a year ago.
Can you imagine the trauma of these parents???
